Onboarding Process
Zuper Pay is our fully integrated payment processing platform. It allows you to accept ACH payments or card transactions in person, as well as other payment options for customers. To use Zuper Pay, you must complete an onboarding process powered by Stripe.
In this guide, we’ll explain how account owners can onboard by verifying business details, connecting a payout bank account, and completing identity verification. The onboarding process will take less than three minutes to complete. Let’s get started.
Navigation: Settings -> Zuper Pay
Start the signup process
To set up Zuper Pay for your company/account:
-
Select the “Settings” module from the left navigation menu.
-
On the Settingspage, click “Zuper Pay.”
Important: If Zuper Pay is enabled for your account or company, you’ll find the “Zuper Pay” section in the Settings page. If it’s not visible, please contact our support team to activate it.
There are two steps to setting up Zuper Pay:
- Verify business details
- Set up the bank account where you will receive your deposits
Note: Only account owners can fill out the business details and bank account.
Verify business details
Click the Get Started button to start the signup process. You will be taken to a form hosted by Stripe, the platform through which Zuper Pay is processed. You need to fill out the Stripe form to verify your business. This form asks for your legal business name and EIN ( or SIN if you are a sole proprietor), so have these details handy.
To complete the verification, you must also provide details about the account representative or owner, including their legal name, date of birth, and address. In some cases, you may need to submit additional information, such as the last four digits of their SSN, to verify their identity.
Note: You will need to submit information about who owns the company. If more than one person is an owner, just enter the details of the majority owner. In the future, this person may need to undergo a verification process where they will be asked to submit additional ID to verify their identity.
Connect Bank Account
Next, you’ll need to connect a bank account. This is where the funds that you collect via Zuper Pay will be deposited. You can connect your account in two ways:
- Connecting with Stripe: Select your financial institution from the list and log in using your online banking credentials.
- Manual Entry: Enter your account number, transit number, and routing number manually.
The information required to connect your bank account includes:
- Account holder name
- Routing number
- Account number
- Bank name
- Address of the bank
Then, when you click Connect accounts, you may be asked to save your payment details with Stripe’s Link for faster checkout in the future. This step is not necessary to complete your payout setup.
Once you’ve completed the setup, your Zuper Pay account will be active, and you can start processing payments. You can always return to the Zuper Pay settings page to review or update your details.
Note: The first payment you receive will trigger an authorization period. In the United States, this period spans five business days, during which your account will undergo the authorization process, and payments will be directed to your bank account. Following this initial authorization period, subsequent payouts will be made within two business days.
